"Tomorrow's Legends Played Here." Damn right they did. Satyricon wasn’t just a club — it was Portland’s punk-stained heart, birthing noise, nihilism, and next-week’s legends under a flickering EXIT sign. Open from 1983 to 2003, it was the dive that didn’t care who you were, as long as you showed up loud, weird, and probably bleeding.

This is where Nirvana met Courtney Love, where Poison Idea melted amps, where the carpets were sticky, the stage too small, and the crowd always half-feral. Bands played three feet from your face. Cops didn’t bother. The alley was a second venue. The bathroom was... let’s not talk about the bathroom.

Owner George Touhouliotis ran it like a pirate ship with a PA system, and somehow it worked — Satyricon outlasted Reagan, grunge, and half the bands that ever played it.

Wear it like a battle scar from a night you only half remember.
